Guest j13
I am having trouble with my tps . I was unable to find one out of a 240sx (wich I have been told is the best way to go and a direct bolt on) in any of the local junkyards . So I put one on that I got out of a sentra. I had to fabricate a bracket in order to make it work . The problem is that for the first 3/4 of pedal travel it will read from 0 to 30% throttle opening and from 50 to 100% in the last 1/2 inch or less of pedal travel. I have entered the closed and wide open numbers into the megasquirt. But the sensor just does not give a nice gradual reading. This is makeing it dificult too enter in my acceleration inrichments into the megasquirt. I am getting a real bad stumble to the point of a near stoll when I mash the peddle to the floor . If I accelerate moderately I have no problem and the car runs well clear up to redline. Is there a way to tune around this? or do I need the 240sx tps? If so does anyone have a part # so I could order a new one from Nissan. joe , 1975 280z.
jeffer949
That wont work. That is a switch not a sensor. Check ebay im sure you can find one on there.
mikeatrpi
I pulled one out of a quest van for mine. It had three wires coming out the side, plus three more on the connector. Use the side wires, not the connector, for the gradual reading. perhaps yours is the same, with multiple sets of wires?
