icapture
Looking to build up a 2.5" or 3" exhaust for my SR20 powered 280Z. I see that there are some companies online that sell pre mandrel bent tubing. would you think it would be cheaper to buy all the bends I need from a site like that, or buy the tubing at a supply store, then take it to a shop and have them mandrel bend the tubing for me. Thanks, Adam
johnc
Cheaper to buy the bends and piece it together.
kijana
IF you have a welder + Patients + time, you can easily make one yourself and save some money. Just remember to buy extra pieces to cover those Ops! moments.. ( I just build one myself for the first time, and i will never pay anyone to do it..if possible) Best of luck. mikeatrpi
I built a 2" exhaust for myself, and more recently a 2.5" downpipe to the cat on my zx. I bought my bends from JC Whitney - wait for a free shipping promotion or a discount coupon - they're always running a deal. Good luck (just realized this was old - how did it turn out?)
