wiked z Posted November 16, 2008 Share Posted November 16, 2008 any one got any ideas if this is a good idea have got fuel rail and injectors of rb30 and was looking into putting on my l28 thought i might ask here first since some one might have dones this. Have done the toyota 1j turbo airflow meter upgrade and am waiting for larger throttle body to turn up so engine should breath better. Am going to wire up apexi safc on parts car tommorrow to see if it will work if it does might be able to control air/fuel mix with bigger injectors cheers for any ideas Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
tonycharger72 Posted November 16, 2008 Share Posted November 16, 2008 Well the fuel rail from an RB30 shouldnt fit an L28? Are they N/A or Turbo injectors from the RB30? IF..........the RB30 injectors will fit into the L28 rail, then dont use them!!! Use R32 GTR injectors - if RB30 injectors will fit onto an L28 rail, R32 GTR injectors will to!!! - they flow 440cc from memory, whilst the RB30 N/A injectors flow something like 180-220 and the turbo flow about 250cc, not much chop for high HP applications, well not compared with the GTR anyways!!! MAG86 Posted November 20, 2008 Share Posted November 20, 2008 the RB30 N/a Injects are very much the same as the L24e & L28e. the 4 middle injectors will fit a L series on a RB fuel rail, but the outer 2 will be 3 or 4 cm off. pallnets fuel rails are top shelf, seen them on stagefumers buildup (another newzealender) unsure of pricing, and what your intentions are, but the hose tail injectors from the RB30et and L28et and also the VG30et (Z31 300zxt) are all bolt in on th L6, no need for new rail. All the above injects are around the 250 to 270 flow rate, good for aroud 190kw MAX... (300HP) after that you will need o-ring injecotrs, like the 440cc GTR ones mentioned. wiked z Posted November 21, 2008 Author Share Posted November 21, 2008 thanks mag86 have since last post found out that gtr injectors would not fit (o ring) and have had rb30 fuel rail modified so end two injector line up will try that first but if desired results are not achieved on dyno will be looking at one of pallnets custom rails with o ring injectors. stagefumer11 Posted November 22, 2008 Share Posted November 22, 2008 You can fit GTr 440cc injectors. its a matter of slipping the hose over the end.. And clamping it.
