Guest sweetcriminal
Hey I just got my hands on a 454 big block with the transmission and some very strong thoughts of putting it into my 280z popped in my head. Now I don't know really anything about cars so I will not be doing the work myself. Before I make this big investment besides the motor and transmission what other parts am I going to need to buy and what will the total cost of the whole project besides the two things siad previously and the labor? dr_hunt
Several people have completed that swap. If you search alittle you will find all kinds of information.
grumpyvette
Its a good idea if your a decent fabricator, and don,t mind being a bit creative, but a roll cage and wheelie bars might be a good idea, http://ywnv.vidiac.com/recentvideos/7/8398a7ec-f655-4e70-9d11-99ab012eba03.htm
Pete84
I have lost the link to the thread and personal site, but a member did swap a BBC in. IIRC he used a slightly rare Vette oil pan and some rams horn heards. Tight, but no cutting.

Pete84
Yup, that is the one. I wish he had some pictures of the headers. "Lastly my custom built block hugger headers. These started out as several sets of headers, cutup and welded back together to work with my engine and chassis." Would be interesting to see the finished product. Anyone know his hybridz ID?
