My weekend project and 350z update

This weekend I decided to finally paint the wheels on my 350z. I spray painted them satin black a while ago but it chipped off and was hard to keep clean. Since I was ready for new tires I figure now was the time to do it. it turned out taking way more work then I planned especially with the time crunch I got into.

They are so shiny its kinda hard to see the wheels, looks good in person though.

There is still a little rim soap on the edge as I didnt want to wash them till they cured a little more.

But anyway Ive really been enjoying the 350z as a daily driver it really is fun to drive. I purchased the car almost exactly a year ago and I have put 20K on her. I still love hopping in it everytime I go out..she handles like she is on rails. My only dislike is the the extremely limited amount of cargo space.

So far she has received:

- Burnt orange Leather seats (power and heated)

- Kinetix Plenum w/ cold air intake

- Tanabe GF210s Springs

- Hotchkis Sway bars

- Rear controls arms

- Wheel Spacers

- Slotted rotors/ axxis pads/ SS lines

Ive got a factory Bose stereo system on the way and some SPL front control arms to install and she will be finished for a while.

Anyway just thought I would share tell what yall think!

Now I just gotta find some other things to paint before I tear down the booth I think Im going to color math some vq parts on my 240z.

Thanks Gabe and Jon!

John - Thats a great price on powdercoating. I was coated 50-60 bucks per wheel and a rather large wait time to go with that. I could have also powdercoated them myself as once I got my tires of I relised they fit in my oven, but just barely!

I still had a few reservtions about powercoating that lead me to choosing paint:

- Time: with it being my daily and no spare wheels I couldnt afford to drop the wheels off and wait

- I could have pc'd them myself but I dont have a sand blasting cabinet big enough to fit my wheels in it

- Powercoat fades with continuous exposure to UV worse then paint, this was an issue to me since the car stays outside and I wanted gloss black.

- Plastic Center caps, I wanted them to match.

- A HUGE pain to redo pc down the road If they get scratched or I want to change the color.

Overall i love PC on suspensioin and under the hood but I think base/clear is better suited to wheels.
