liveforeverZ
I asked this question in my clutch post, but figured I'd open it up for more views. My withdrawal lever dust boot crumbled off, and no one at the parts desks seem to know what one is. I can't find it anywhere online either - could it be listed as something different? josh817
Maybe you can use an accelerator rod boot? Black Dragon Automotive: PN: 59-160 $5 1-888-789-DRGN to place order

liveforeverZ
Thanks guys, Its the boot that covers the lever that the slave cylinder rod connects to coming out of the tranny.
2eighTZ4me
Throw out arm (fork) dust boot if it's the one that mounts on the tranny itself.
liveforeverZ
Found it. The boot hadnt crumbled out completely. It was jammed up into the bellhousing. The crumbling rubber was from the slave boot. Thanks for your help however. I'm sure I'll need it again.
2eighTZ4me
I'd get that slave boot replaced ASAP. You don't want ANY moisture to get in the slave. Brake fluid attracts moisture, and the moisture will rust pits in the slave cyl. itself, leading to one day when you push in the clutch - it' ain't gonna be there. josh817
When it comes time just get a new slave. They're $20, I don't think you will find the boot to an already specific part. Yah know?
2eighTZ4me
I'm trying to prolong his "time". Ever been in the middle of rush hour traffic, and you push on the clutch pedal and there's nothing there? I have. Not fun. It's a ticking time bomb at that point. You never know when it's gonna go. $20 is a decent bottle of Cuervo Gold. I've got several of the boots lying around in the bin. Always save removable parts and keep them on hand - especially rubber. You never know when you'll need them.

Turn the car off, when light goes green floor it and start the car, enjoy the horrible 1st gear ride.
