kcambron
I bought a 5 speed and I need to ID it. Its from some vintage of z car I think 80 thru 83. I have searched this site and others, what do you guys think? The top is stamped 7Z3020 Gear ratio? I've read so many post on driveshaft lengths, cross member types and types of shifters needed for different years my head hurts. I think the best and fastest way is to just start bolting S@!$ in! What fits you keep, what doesn't you start looking for! Adios Amigos
cygnusx1
Count the input turns of the shaft vs a single output shaft turn in all the gears and match it up to one of the trans ratio charts around here. 80-83 were all the same if they were US 5-speeds.
