jknc90
Haha, yeah, but I'm guessing you'd get a fixit ticket for that anyway, which defeats the point of rolling your windows down in the first place. Lol yeah, I didn't think about that.
Mikes Z Car
One night around 1976 cruising West through Tennessee on the freeway going from Maine to Louisiana in a 71 240Z (my first Z) with no traffic I drove briefly at 107, the car would do more but that was as fast as I wanted to go. Within a few minutes after that I got pulled over for (guess what?) but the odd thing was that murphy's law was on the fritz that night. Imagine the officer's puzzlement when I heaved a sigh of relief when he told me he clocked me at 77. I felt justified in not insisting he have his radar gun checked because I had reason to believe it was reading a tad low. I also felt justified in failing to point out it couldn't have been me as I was going much faster. For some reason he took me to the police station, maybe to pay the fine, can't remember. As we walked out of the station he asked me how fast would that car go and I said the book says it will go over 120 but I only have had it up to 107. He didn't say yeah I noticed nor did he pull out his ticket book again. I er, ah, hope the statute of limitations has run out on this confession. Tony D
Do what I did with my last fixit ticket: Sign the officers spot with an unintelligible scribble, put 'HBPD #XXX' in the 'badge number' section, and turn it in to pay your fine. I didn't "Fix" any-damn-thing because nothing was damn broken! I look at it as an 'equipment annoyance tax' that you pay from time-to-time when you have the front windows tinted... Double Limo Tint suprisingly gets not much of a second look most of the time. But if they do, my routine is clear. I usually pay in person at the courthouse on the way back from the citation site so I don't get involved back home...
