Guest Anonymous
For those of you that have relocated the battery to the back of the car, where are you putting it? How are you securing it? Is there a lot of cutting, drilling and welding involved? What is the route of the battery cables? I appreciate any info.
Mikelly
Mine is in the back right, behind the rear fenderwell. It is secured with 3/8th inch threadall, nylon impregnated nuts, and fender washers. I use 1/0 wire all the way up, and bulkhead mounts on the rear deck to run the battery cables to. My kit was a Summit kit, but I upgraded the wired and made sure to fabricate a bracket to bolt the box in place. I welded nothing. Owen
Mine is in the same location. I ran the 1/0 gauge batt cable behind the R fender, where the stock wiring for the interior lite, rear defroster, etc. ran. Then thru the door rails to the front. I used a Moroso box kit, two 3/8 inch bolts thru the floor secure the box. Cables used were Taylor. I welded a bolt to the chassis as a ground post.
