JDTIPPIT
Hey everyone! I am trying to setup power steering in my 81 zx turbo. Has anyone done a write up on this before? I want to avoid any pit falls I can.
hoov100
get a newer aluminum GM power steering pump, then get a power steering reservoir, mounting plate and pulley then take it to a hose shop to have lines made, or take the stock power steering pump and custom make a bracket to mount it to the block, which if you have accessory bolt holes on your head wouldnt be too hard. JDTIPPIT
This 327 actually does not have the accessory bolt holes in the heads. I sure appreciate the help though.

sweetride2go
Look in Summit Racing, I know they have universal powersteering pump mounts that mount low on the block, utulizing the ooold two bolt motor mounts holes on the front corners of the block. Here is how mine sets. I'm using a GM type II pump (lower right) and a remote resivor(just to the right of the pump). I don't remember, but Summit or Zoops makes the bracket. I havn't plumbed them in yet however... Hope that helps... Cheers Ryan~

Guest Downlow
That's one clean Quadrajet, Sweetride! I'm waiting on one from SMI for a warmed over ZZ4, I'm interested to see how it will perform compared to the other carbs.
