mike240zt
Just doing the final stuff before doing my ms install and noticed my map sensor doesnt seem to be a sealed unit. :ie doesnt hold vaccuum or pressure. Does seem to look ok on MT. Is my map sensor working right?
softopz
hook up megasquirt just to a battery is fine with a laptop put your mouth to map hose and suck it lol I know it sounds funny but thats a good test to see. You should see your KPA get lower.
mike240zt
It does work doing as you say however air passes through the sensor. I just thought they were a sealed unit.
mobythevan
Are you saying with the vacuum hose connected to the map sensor you can blow in it and it leaks air? Is the plastic case of the map sensor cracked or melted? Doesn't sound good.
mike240zt
Doh! stupid tubing i had has ridges on the inside keeping it from sealing. My bad, been swimming in to much Z stuff lately.
