hogie
While these don't have the projector lenses they are much cheaper than alot of the kits that have shown up on the board before. They are listed as being Jeep specific, but I think a 7 inch lamp is pretty well a 7 inch lamp. http://www.electrosport.com/products/product-detail-2353.php http://www.electrosport.com/products/product-detail-2317.php Heck, it could be garbage, but for 299-399 it sure looks better than the big "nuclear nipples" Has anyone heard of this company? Administrators BRAAP Posted June 26, 2009 Administrators Share Posted June 26, 2009 (edited) ... it sure looks better than the big "nuclear nipples" Nuclear Nipples.. This is the mental image that pops into my head whenever I see one of those. (No offense to those that have the custom 7" HID, I'm sure the lighting quality phenomenal...) Pic courtesy of Terri Steele Those lights look like a very nice upgrade. Edited June 26, 2009 by BRAAP
Forrest
I tried out a chinese non-projector kit similar to that, using autopal housings, and the total cost was around 180$ - so that seems a little high. I definitely wouldn't pay 400$ for a non-projector solution.
hogie
I found review on JP magazine...they mentioned that the light isnt perfect because of the housing. apparently the design of the bulbs is supposed to help counteract that fact. http://www.jpmagazine.com/techarticles/electrical/154_0901_jeep_hid_headlight_install/index.html
thrustnut
This is a little off subject, but I just obtained from a friend a set of Cessna landing lights. They are small (about 3"x5") and will fit pretty well into the lower holes in my MSA front valance. They are non-HID (but throw a TON of light) so I should be able to wire up and go. I do allot of night driving in BFE Oregon and my worst fear is hitting a deer...that would be the end of my Z. Just have to fab some brackets to see how well they work. Guest jeffspeedster
I've installed HIDs from ElectroSport on a car and a motorcycle. They're high quality, and the company has excellent customer service. Install was fairly easy, too, and the documentation was pretty good.
