  1. Autozone, Oreilly's, and Advanced all seem to use the same part supplier for wheel cylinders when I was looking last summer. Everyone showed 1 left cylinder in stock, but no-one could get it. Check with the dealership, but it will be more expensive
  2. You can borrow a double flare tool from Autozone and Oreilly's. Tubing cutters are cheap and you can bend line by hand without any real problems. Doing it yourself can be cheap. Unless you are doing the long runs from front to back the tubing is pretty cheap as well. I've got to say it isn't very fun to do.
  3. Why can't it come back to Indy? Damn Bernie! It was nice having the race around 2 hours away from home.
  4. You can do it by hand...not particulary fun though.
  5. Needs some green tint! Tinted and cleared undercoating can look good though. Though I suppose the clear coat is a bit silly I have seen it done on a show truck.
  6. That looks like a giant baby seat
  7. Nice find on the videos. Schroth has a ton more about setting up than you posted already. I actually used the second link for how to wrap the ends of my harness. At least I have that in correctly. This is a very temporary set-up as I really don't like the look or feel of the harness. Not only that, but it is a good way to get a ticket in Indiana if the cop wants to get you.
  8. Those are pretty...I would think that a black light would be tiresome after awhile. I am sure you won't be putting anything with a lot of output, but they really irritate my eyes.
  9. Odd to see so much action in here well after I was asking around in the first place. The seats are Corbeau GT7's and they have been discontinued. Apparently they can be special ordered from some retailers though because I did find them online. The harness are legit Corbeau harnesses as well, though I suppose that could be considered ebay crap. When I was digging around on classiczcars and here I found a bunch of people mounting there harness at this point. Obviously, it is not the best choice, but it is better than not having them attached or bolting them to the floor in back. I am just tossing them in there because its what i have now. The factory belts are toast and/or MIA. After I get the car out and driving I plan on replacing them with the MSA 3 point belts. Until I know the car is good and driveable I won't be throwing anymore real money into it.
  10. Oh, I have no clue if he is fine healthwise or not. I just saw that he was active on 502ss not to long ago. I have some friends in Scottsburgh, but I don't know his real name to know if they know him or not. I havent heard of anyone having any problems getting stuff from him.
  11. I am not sure, he was alive and posting on the tenth on a local forum. But then he got himself banned on purpose it seems.
  12. If you have tin snips it isnt too hard to make one that will work.
  13. Continuity tester doesnt gaurantee that the whole thing will work. At least it didnt on my pathfinder hatch glass
  14. I have a 22rte! I know, not the same, but I just wanted to say it.
  15. Better yet, in Internet explore click View from the tool bar and select your text size there. No more zooming in and out.
  16. Sti's don't have transmission problems. It's the regular old WRX tranny that is crap.
  17. After making sure all of the rear suspension on my 72 was tight I found out the rear threads were all buggered up. I tried to reform them, but I still can't get the nuts on good and tight (they are doubling as a harness mount for now as well). Is there a way to replace these bolts without buying new insulators? Also, what should these be torqued to? My haynes manual doesn't say. Thanks
  18. Well I finally got around to mounting my seats and 4 point harness and ran into a couple of snags. The seats are pretty well too wide for the car, but fit snugly. The bad part is the rear strap on the harness is way too long even with the slack pulled out. Is there another way to mount these with the set-up I have and not snap my back? I know many people wrap there's around a strut tower bar, but mine isnt set up that way. Assuming the car runs and drives fine after I finally get it going I will probaly just by a regular seat belt set from MSA. I just dont like this harness, but it is what came with the car.
  19. I just did this to my 72 and used the Help Me package with the bushing assortment. It was half the price of the one with the pin. I still haven't driven with it, but I can actually tell when it is in neutral now!
  20. what kind of shape is the interior in in teh Shepardsville car? I am looking for better door panels, console bits, and glove box lid. Other than that, I think I have most of the parts I need now. BTW, I am hogie on 502Streetscene. Thanks
  21. Wal-mart has gobs of the professional grade 3M. I think it was $7 a can or so.
  22. I am not a big fan of the 3m. It seems to rub off quite easily on my car.
