Front strut tower bar?

Anyone here have a 2jzgte in there S30 that has a front strut tower bar? I'm talking about stock intake and exhaust manifolds. Looking at mine I don't think a straight bar would fit, and it seems even a bent bar would have problems clearing the hood. Any input?

Thanks

Well, I have the engine mounted with John's (Betamotorsports) mount. I made a bar before I mounted the engine, kind of got ahead of myself. I used 1" dom tubing with adjustable rod ends. The bar is straight but the hood will not close. I need bends on both ends. Here are some pics. I was looking for oval bar for more clearance, but it is kind of difficult to find. The other bar in the pics is from my Celica, and seems to contour better.

i've seen 87 celica's with strut bars that link from the strut towers to the middle of the firewall. perhaps that's something you might want to try. maybe instead, you could do some kind of "x" cross support in from of the engine.

I plan to do that already, not exactly to the middle of the firewall, but as close to it as I can. I wanted to put one straight across also. I have not had a chance to work on it much, but hopefully I can figure something out.

Thanks
