Negafen
I've got a 71 240z I am changing from the original coil to this one. I always visit the same Lordco for parts. One of the employees there owns 3 240zs in excellent shape, and knows every bolt widget and tube on every part of every Z. I ordered a coil, and went to pick it up today. He advised I use not the one similar to stock, but the one I linked to. It comes with a resistor, is more compact, and more modern. Sounded good to me. So I took it home and realized I don't know how to hook it up. I know which bit goes to the cap... but that's it. I hope someone can help poor excitable me. MAG58
Which Dizzy are you running? If you're running the origional points, here's how I wired it. B+12v to one side of the resistor other side of resistor to + side of coil. -Side of coil to breaker points.
cockerstar
It should wire up just like the stock style coil and resistor. Just swap everything onto it exactly how it came off of the stock one. Should just be the 4 wires.
