voltron_boi
I have search this forum and have not seen anyone run a rb25det turbo into their l28et. I was just wondering if anyone have did this swap into their L motors. I have a spare rb25 turbo in good working condition that i would want to try out. Before i do that, i want to get some feedback if its a good idea or it isn't. I don't want to be pulling out my intake manifold back and forth, so as now the engine is already out and being ready to drop back into the car until i decided what turbo to go. Motor is a plan stock setup.
jc052685
Very small hot side turbine and a t28 front side makes for a very mismatched turbo for our engine. Rapid spool around 12-14psi @ 2400 rpm coupled with power falling off fast around 4800 rpm. This turbo generates extreme exhaust pressures and temps. I could glow the whole turbo manifold, hot side and dp by the end of 3rd gear. Makes for a pretty good auto-x turbo though.
