Tim240z
I've searched and searched and can't find a place that sells OEM type electrical plugs, specifically I need to replace some of the plugs/connectors on my LT1 engine wiring harness. I remember seeing a place once, but for the life of me I can't find it. Any suggestions? Tim
JoshB 240Z
Waytek sells Packard/Delphi Weather-Pack connectors and all of the associated tools necessary for a nice install. You can visit their site, as well as order, @ http://www.waytekwire.com They do require minimum purchases so this may not be an option for one off type repairs. Waytek also sells many other automotive wire, connectors and relays. At the very least order their catalog....it makes for good reading. Motec also sells the Weather-Pack connectors in sets of one. The prices are a little higher but you don't have to worry about minimum orders. Josh
Guest greimann
Check out the electrical aisle at Pep Boys. They have all kinds of Weatherpac connectors.
Guest Anonymous
yes you can get them localy but not for $0.30 each like from waytek. I found them near my house for like $4-$5 each. That is not real economical if your doing more then one or two connectors. I have just gotten a large order from waytek(redoing my whole harness with 16 gauge and wetherpak connectors) and was very happy with the service. Two items were backordered but when i called they informed me that they had been sent out already. Came the day after the other stuff. Everything is good quality stuff. Guest Anonymous
I say hit the junk yard and scavenge the heck out of some poor wiring harness there. I don't think those connectors are that hard to reuse and still have them look/function well. If they get lost in the bottom of your bag, they're FREE. go figure. Kevin Shasteen
I agree w/Dewzenol. Whenever I pull in an old car for scavenging-I always pull as much of the old wiring harness I can & obtain all the wiring & their connectors for later usuage....of course this means you'll need to splice them in to your project harness; but, if you buy the correct crimpers you can make as good as a connection as the factory if you also use heatshrink.
