Peternell
Getting ready to install a vacuum gauge and was wondering about vacuum line size to the gauge. The Autometer gauge came with a cheezy plastic 1/8" line, but I have 1/4" braided line I planned to use. Will the larger (although only slightly) line affect the gauge readings?? Your replies please cause the gauge goes in this weekend and the carb tuning follows thereafter. Thanks
SleeperZ
I used the cheesy 1/8" pipe, but there is no flow in the tube, so SIZE DOESN'T MATTER (in this case )
DAW
That's a huge difference between 1/8" and 1/4". There are 5/32", 3/16" and 5/32" in between. Best response vs loss of vacuum into lost volume is probably the 5/32" line. DAW
DAW
Oops, 7/32" on the proofread.
