abes
I just finished the brake set up on my 280zx and don't feel that it's up to par. I cut my rotors, put new slotted up front, replaced my lines with stainless lines, new portefield r4s', and replaced all the fluid with ate super blue dot 4. Everything was bled and should be free of air in the lines. I drove it for the first time yesterday and it feels like it has no brakes. I figured it needed some break in time so I put a few miles on it. I slammed on the brakes and no wheel lock or instant stopping, just a rapid stop. If I needed to stop because someone in front of me slammed on their brakes, I probably would ram right into them. My brakes worked perfect before. I don't think this is normal.. or is it??? stravi757
Maybe you need to bench bleed your MC.
Xylemer
You could be having a problem with the reaction disc, this is a common problem and one that has been covered on here. I would shoot you a link but I do not have one.
abes
Maybe you need to bench bleed your MC. I never changed it out and it never went empty. I'll try it out, anything at this piont.
abes
I called porterfield and the rep said to get about 100 miles on it and see how they feel afterwards. Has anyone ever heard of that?
