Delasangre4231
How bad is it if the tach goes up to whatever at idle but stays there and doesn't move until you turn off the car? When I went to look at the car there is some kind of rattle coming from the front pulley area, he thought that it might have been the fan? Where can I get replacement electronic adjustable shocks or rebuild kits?
Sparks280zt
I never had any luck with the electric adjustable shocks. You can replace them however with tokico adjustables.
Delasangre4231
Those are manual aren't they, I want to be able to change it from the stock switch in the center console...
DeleriousZ
Do the RPM's stay with the tach or is it just a busted tach? I'm not sure what would cause that. Any sort of rattle from the front of the engine is bad news. Electronic shocks are ~$2000 from the factory, so plan on going a different route if replacing the switch and tracing the wiring doesn't solve the problem. Delasangre4231
When I started the car the tach jumped up to idle and then no matter what I did I couldn't get it to move except to 0 but turning off the car.
Zeddicus
did the engine fire up? did you check to see if you could build the RPMs with the throttle control on the engine? it sounds like that car is needing some serious love and i would jut keep looking, there are plenty of Z31s out there in much better condition.
