Did any early '87 Turbos with LSD ever come without the finned cover. I know the LSD came out after 4/87 so I wonder if any ever left the factory without the fins. I'm going to look at a supposed original LSD from a '87 Turbo car being parted out and both axles do turn when you turn one by hand BUT no finned cover.

Both axles need to turn in THE SAME DIRECTION. If you can jack up the back of the car, you would also be able to try and turn them in opposite directions. It should be possible, but takes a lot of force with the LSD. An open diff will easily spin the tires in opposite directions.
