motorman7
Just my opinion: Of the two, I prefer the wood. Although, if you still have it, my real preference would be the original steering wheel, which I think is way cool. On my 71Z, I removed (and sold on e-bay) my Grant racing/steering wheel. I replaced it with the original, which I refinished. The larger wheel gives me a little more torque when steering (I am getting older), and is more comfortable to hold on long drives. cygnusx1
Not a fan of chrome or polished stuff in the car so I pick the wood setup.
datsun723
Numero uno is my opinion. I do like the second choice too however
Savage42
I have the #1 steering wheel, although I'm not going to use it, as I want a different model. As for shift knob, I still go with option #1, even though I don't have a manual trans in the V8 Z.
Avernier
i have the #2 option. feels great, looks awesome, and imo, suits the overall feel and style of the z better.

I'm thinking I'm leaning more towards this option myself. Would you happen to have a interior pic of your Z?
Avernier
I wish I did, but like most people on here, my z is in about 300+ pieces and I never thought to take pics before hand. Actually I think I have a five speed version of that shift knob too. I will add that the wheel is not made of real wood, mine isn't anyway. Its compression molded plastic, but the finish is very good, and I couldn't even tell.
Savage42
I have the wheel from optioin #1 that I'm selling on ebay. You can buy the adapter for $45, so it'll save you $75. Just thought I'd pass that along. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190347173643
