S30TRBO Posted December 7, 2009 Share Posted December 7, 2009 This is for guys using a stock 240Z tach, how did you hook up your SDS via coil pack tach signal wire to the MSD tach adapter? Is it needed? Also where did you tap the signal from the coil and run the wire back or wiring harness? I don't want to speculate as there is too much misinformation out there so please discuss.... Nigel Posted December 17, 2009 Share Posted December 17, 2009 I switched to a 280Z tach with a resistor in-line with the coil signal. I don't remember the exact resistor value, but I believe it was around 2.2K Ohm? That might be easier that trying to figure out the tach adapter.
