nazgule6
Well my car is finally running but I'm having some tranny issues I think. Im running a 350 with a built 700r4 tranny. When I drive it at regular speeds about 30 to 40 it runs fine, but when I start to floor it the car doesnt go anywhere. You can hear the motor push but the tranny doesnt seem to shift. The rpm jumps high untill it gains speed and feels like its not downshift or anything. MY friend told me that its my kickdown cable, but im not sure. I installed it when i finished my build, but i havent adjust it yet? Could there be anything else wrong besides the kickdown cable adjustment? sweetride2go
You need to get that TV cable(Throttle Valve/"kickdown cable") adjusted ASAP!!! Proper TV cable adjustment can mean life or death for the R4's. That cable regulates pressure to the clutches, and it sounds like yours is set too loose, allowing the transmission to slip. Anything else that could be wrong, I can't say, but search up on adjusting that cable, that would be a good place to start...
