I like the wheel size 15x7. What you think?

Recommended Posts

Shopping for wheels: what you guys think of 15" wheels. Have seen 16's online, but not convinced...might be too big for my taste.

What are the PanaSport wheel models?

I have seen Ultra Lights (but won't buy these because I'm not racing). Are the "Lights" then very similar?

I've found the new FZ PanaSport wheels. Are these the same as "Formula" PanaSports? Are they the same "FS Formula One" PanaSports? Finally, I've found "PanaSport FS" wheels? Is there any difference?

Now, PanaSport FS or Wantanbe RS8? Which would you choose? Why?

Also, don't know wheel spacing? 4 x 114.3: is that correct spacing?

Panasports are heavy. Wats are expensive. Both look nice. I believe you can fit a 15x8 without coilovers, not sure on that but you should be able to find out with a little searching. I like a 15x8 with 225/50/15. 15x7 is right for a 205, some people put a 225 on the 7 but it fits the 8 better. 4 x 114.3 is equal to 4 x 4.5 which is correct for a Z.

I'm running 15x9.5 centerlines on my z and they fit good.

15 in. do look great on a Z and period correct. You will have no problem finding or fitting 7 in. wheels with 0 - off set. The biggest issue with 15 in. wheels is finding tires. Not that 15 in. tires are not made, they are. However, If you want a performance tire for the street, there are not many made in 15 in. without an R rating and a ware rating of 100 or less. So, you become very limited to what tires you will run. Check out the TireRack.com and you will see what I mean.

I have 15x7 0 offset with 225-50-15 and they fit the stock set up fine. However, I don't run those wheels. I run 16x8 0 offset with 225-50-16 and the lips needed to be rolled or ground away on the rear. Also a non-stock front lower valence needed to be used when I went to the 16x8. Just some things to think about.
