dan5138
Hi folks I'm looking for a turbo capable of 10 to 15 LBS of boost. Doesn't need to be anything fancy, I'm on a budget and don't trust the garbage / mystery meat turbos on Ebay.
ComicArtist
Depends on your budget. Some people have fairly good results with the eBay turbos, but for a higher price tag, you can get a more reliable one. I've heard good things about the Garrett GT35. I've seen some sell for around $600.
cockerstar
10 to 15 pounds of boost on what engine? By what rmp? A stock t3 will get you to 15 pounds on an l series, but it won't do it very efficiently. Specifics are key. There are many variable that play into turbo selection. Jesse OBrien
I have a rebuilt externally-wastegated Turbonetics t3/t04e hybrid (.48/.63) that's about perfect for a 2.8l engine that I'm selling for $500, and a generic turbo with the same specs for $350. PM me if you're interested in either. Pretty much anything will do 10-15lbs of boost, it's just a matter of where in the rev band it can do it.
