xShodaimex
Hey guys, I have recently replaced my old halogen bulbs with new H4 xenon bulbs. It was probably the best thing I had put on my car being an inexpensive upgrade. With the new lights I can totally see the road more. Just until the other day on my way back home from work, I noticed that the lights were kinda off as it shined on the road, so I pulled over and saw that the right side [passenger side] was very dim. I checked the connections and it seemed fine. I also hooked up the old bulb to it and it was still dim. I disconnected the left side light[driver side] [nothing wrong with it just wanted to see what would happen] and then the right one would go out aswell, so it was in a series connection ? Yeah, so aren't headlights supposed to be connected in parallel? anyways.. I really need to get this fixed, I would appreciate any advice, anything. I have searched for answer and have found nothing. leftover z
I hope you upgraded your headlight harness. Also, pull and check your headlight fuses, and your fusible links. 30 plus years tends to corrode everything electrical.

(goldfish)
If the fuses and links are good, check the column switch.

As we speak the heavy duty harness from blackdragonauto is already on its way to my house. I should get it by tommorrow or this up coming monday. Any advice on the harness installation or is it just plug and play? By fusible links do you guys mean those big plugs that looks like relays that are in the black boxed housings in the engine bay? I have finally figured out the problem!!! as i was over looking the fuses again. I looked at the one for the right head light.. I said to myself " why wont you work!?" and i remembered having spare fuses, so i just switched it for the hell of it and BAM. .. my headlights work!! but the weird thing was.. it was my second time looking at the fuses and that particular fuse did not burn out or anything.. weird.. it was the same 10a fuse.. well.. problem is fixed.. thanks for the help guys! Hope you figure it out and shine some more light on me hey heathhh, just like what the others here had already told me.. Look at your fuses, fusable links and connections.. look CAREFULLY.. like me, i looked for connections and found that they were all secure, even tested on different headlight bulbs.. then look at your fuses.. i realize most of our problems that we hardly overlook would be fuses. let me know if you need help and ill try to help you out. Glad you figured it out, and cheap too. Just because a fuse may "look good", doesn't mean it is.

Heathhh
Why would you go to the junkyard for fuses when you can buy new ones? Unless i am unaware of this hidden secret you have about junkyard fuses Eh, my fuses look good, but hey just like he said, that does not mean that they are. I will be replacing them :]

Personally, I can think of alot of other "pocket parts" instead of fuses. Fuses are cheap. As we should ALL have learned by now, just because a fuse LOOKS good D.M.S. Two bucks for J.Y. fuses? You can buy a box of new ones for not much more. Wait a minute... I have a buttload of fuses I'll sell ya for $1.50 each... you'll save 50 cents each over the junkyard fuses
