My not so new 260z

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone , I'm not so new at this forum but I kinda am because I don't think I've posted yet..so

I have been seeing some rides here lately and man they are sweet.I see people help here and that's always welcoming. I myself have a early '74 260z which I restored to drivable conditions. But still needs more cosmetic stuff.

First, I bought this car from an auction...it has a clean title! -I might be the second owner not sure...but I do know is when I got it towed to my house I though I was buying a 280z...when I saw 260z I was like "NICE!".. The paint was in great shape too I was surprised....it was weird the car they had online was brown? screw it I already registered this one and vin matches all around I think the car was donated by a lady because I saw some insurance cards from way back '90s...yes!! I kept them not for personal info but for history. I charged up the battery, cranked and no start...So I went on and trying to diagnose why the car was donated, no start condition. I replaced fuel pump, and it worked again! but a few problems... clutch slipped bad, horrible exhaust leak, bouncy ride. so I went on and...

Looks great! Noticed a little tree-sap or paint imperfection on the hood. I bet a little clay bar and some scratch-x along with a thorough wax and polish will get it even better looking!

Did it to mine just 2 weeks ago...the improvement in paint was night and day.
