mchong75
I need some help. My stock ECM for 1976 was burnt so I ordered a used one off of ebay. The part number (green color sticker) on the ECM matches the stock. ( A11 600 000) But the pin settings are different. TOP - Stock BOTTOM - eBay replacement Can I use this or do I need to find something with a same pin set?
stravi757
Ya, thats probably a 77/78 ecu. You need a 75/76 one.
Administrators BRAAP Posted April 29, 2010 Administrators Share Posted April 29, 2010 '78 ECU is it's own beast, totally different harness and pin out, not interchangeable with the '77.
RB26powered74zcar
I have a 76 ecu. Let me know if interested. PM
RB26powered74zcar
Here is my 76 ECU. It matches the one the eBay guy sold you. What does your door tag have for month and year? Edited April 30, 2010 by rb26powered74zcar

Do you know if yours is a California or Federal emission?
RB26powered74zcar
Do you know if yours is a California or Federal emission? I'll get back to you on that. There is a tag under the the door jam tag that I believe says something about that. I think it's a non Calif. approved vehicle... I'll confirm later today. My repair guy was telling me that I need an ECM that was for California emission.
