240zRacer
i recently noticed i have a caliper hanging up so i figured while im at might as well upgrade, here is the issue i am using weld drag lites on the front and due to the way they are shaped they actually slightly scraped on the raised letters on the stock calipers. as you can see in the pic i attached the caliper and the face of the wheel hub are level well actually the raised letters stick out a tad past so most rims this isnt a issue since the wheel has a raised mounting surface. well on the weld rims its flat, so my question is do the 4x4 ones stick out more then the OEM ones? if they do i will just get a reman OEM one. i drew red lines to the areas i am speaking of. sticky280zx
Just like he said if you go bigger you'll need long lugs, and spacers, or else you stay stock and just rebuild those and do a little surface grinding so that they dont rub at all
hoov100
You can surface the side of the calipers quite a bit on the yota calipers, as they have alot of "heat sink" material. If someone has a junk S12 caliper, you should cut it in half and go through the middle of one of the outside pistons and post pics. 240zRacer
thanks for the replies i will just stick with the oem, spacers would put the welds out past the fender lip.
