jakeoster
Im waking this forum up! My Z was rear ended about a week ago and the insurance adjuster called it totalled. So i made it very clear that I wanted to retain the vehicle and they gave me a settlement of $3200. So, I have the pull the RB to get it into another Z and I figured I might as well fix that annoying throw out bearing while I am at it. My question is, where is a good source to buy one from? I am in the US. Thanks in advance guys.
pat1
Is it a push or pull pressure plate?

RB26powered74zcar
Is the clutch slave in front of the T/O arm or behind it? In front = push, behind = pull.

jakeoster
Hey guys, I know this is an old thread but I finally got back to my build. I've never changed a throw out bearing before and I have some questions. It's a push type, as the slave pushes the fork forward to engage the clutch. This would warrant a bearing from the 300zx, which I purchased. However it looks diffferent then what the RB25 has. Where do I go from here? Do I have the wrong part? Thanks in advance. RB25 part I pulled off Part I bought
pat1
You have to press the hub off. Very easy, put the bearing in a vise and get a socket the same size as the hub. Hit it a few times with a hammer and it will come off. Then gently press the new bearing on.
voltron_boi
I used the same 300zx release bearing as yours. Mount the tranny onto the motor. Everything bolt right up.
