Fitting 285's - 345's

Are fender flares and a 5 lug conversion all it takes to fit (some) aftermarket rims 10 to 12 inches wide (rear) and maybe 8 inches wide (front)? From what I see, properly offset wheels will fit behind a set of wide flares.

Just looking for confirmation.

Thanks,

DJSS

you dont have to go five lug at all to run tires like that, it does make it a lot easier though, you might just have to get longer wheel studs and use spacers to get 10 or twelve inch wide wheels.

flares definitely. i just wont go five lug cause i aint trying to pull no stub axle until i shear it off, thats real talk, it likes where its at too much for me to disagree.

It is possible to fit an 8"/245 combo on the front without flares using stock spring set-ups. Anything wider than that will pretty much require some flaring. And even moderately-to-highly prices wheels can be had in large widths even in the 4 lug pattern (mine are 11"/315 combos)
