Mustang wheels

Recommended Posts

My 280z went into the body shop last night. I am wanting to look into my wheel options to really set it off when its done in the shop. I will have the zg flares and I am wondering if I used the following set up if it would a.) fit and b.) get somewhere close to the edge of the flares.

Wheel option 2: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/17-x9-10-Black-fit-Mustang-Morxchn-cobra-Rims-tires-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQitemZ290461392867QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

Adapters: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-4-5-LUG-WHEEL-RIM-ADAPTER-KIT-FORD-MUSTANG-79-93-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQitemZ290456625112QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

Any help would be much appreciated.

It all depends on the thickness of the adapter. If I am not mistake you can get a 17x10 wheel with 4.5" BS under the rear ZG flare. The front will be limited to 8.5 or 9" wheels.

So if your adapter is 1" think you now can get a 17x10 wheel with 5.5" BS under your rear zg flare or a 17x9 wheel with 4.5" BS.

Those adapters are 2 inches and thats where im wondering if they will push the wheels out past the flares. If those adapters do push the tires out past the flairs, they make the second set of wheels in a 4 lug pattern also, then could I just go with a smaller spacer.

Thanks agian for any help.

The first set of wheels have a +27 offset and which means the 10.5" wheel with the added 2" adapter will stick out past you fender flares.

For the second set of wheels with a +20 offset; you will need a approx a 1" spacer (closer to 3/4" spacer) to get the correct back spacing to get it to fit your 280z. However this 10" wheel should fit under you rear ZG flare but will more than likely require you to run a stretched tire.
