Drax240z
Not sure if any of you know this car at all, but it's something that just about every gear head I've shown it to has enjoyed. 3.0L, 16 cylinder horizontally opposed, 64 valve. ~700hp at the flywheel, and 100hp in valvetrain loss! Made of 2, 1.5L flat 8's stacked on top of each other, and geared together. Not the most reliable engine ever build, far from it really. But sounds like nothing else on earth... (it starts to really wind up at about 0:33 or so)
Challenger
What do you mean by valvetrain loss? Id love to make some kind of old formula replica with an engine like this.

MAG58
Oh the glories of the BRM motor. Apparently for the day they spun the piss out of these things and surprisingly it wasn't the mechanical nightmare that lurked underneath that was the issue. From what I read, any day the ignition would let the motor run on all 16 (as opposed to 8 or 12) was a pretty rare occurrence and was what plagued this motor during it's existence. IMO My favorite reciprocating noise, but it still cant touch the sound of burner cans lighting off on a big turbine.
