datsun280zx Posted October 4, 2010 Share Posted October 4, 2010 Im looking to either get my engine rebuilt or do it myself. Or if its cheaper to do a v8 swap. Anyways my question is there anybody out there that sells a rebuild kit for the l28? or is there someplace in AZ that does rebuilds. roger.svoboda Posted October 4, 2010 Share Posted October 4, 2010 L28 is a pretty tough engine. at 125 K miles unless it has been abused and had no maintenance done it should be in good shape. you either have a lot of money to spend or too lazy to find out why the car isn't operating properly. compression check. fuel pressure. vacuum check. ignition check. battery and charging system check. just a few things you might want to do OR just throw money at it and hope for the best.
