Novacaine
i was just curious how all of you did your exhaust.. here are a few pictures of mine and the setup i came up with. i used an h-pipe from a 99 rc-51 vette(the early z06) and a pair of dynomax bullets. i pieced it together and tack welded it in place on the car and then pulled it down and welded it solid. the oil filter is a little tight but is removeable. i think in the future i will be doing a relocate kit for the filter. it exits right in front of the rear end and sounds beautiful however with the exhaust under the car it is rather loud inside.. as a racecar its bearable but on cruise nights the wife doesnt like it to much. i also added a few shots of the car itself since im new and nobody has actually seen it. tell me what you think and post ur exhaust pics. thanks
Pyro
I did one just like that, but instead of just dumping the exhaust after the bullets, I went into a Y pipe (dual 2-1/2 inch to single 3 inch out) to 3 inch mandrel bent pipe to a dynomax turbo muffler (big case). I like to hear myself think when I drive.
Novacaine
Yeah ithougt that would be restrictive but the Shorty headers r more restrictive. I would like a long tube see hut can't find any
hoov100
I did something similar to the OP's exhaust except I had long tubes, used a custom made x-pipe and had no mufflers.
Geking
I made mine as cheaply as possible. I already had a 2.5" performance system from the L28. I tack welded 2.5 from the headers to a y, then it goes through a glasspack I scavenged from a evo exhaust. From there it goes back around the suspension and out the back using the L series system. Counting the rods it cost me under $40. It is a bit loud but I can still get my wife to ride along.

LeroyLucky: The workmanship on that exhaust system is FIRST CLASS! It doesn't get any better than that. Two bullets resonator/muffler prior to the final muffler. Are all three the same part number? Are they truly resonators or mufflers? Who is the manufacturer of all three? Is that 2.5" exhaust tubing? Please advise. Thanks.
Novacaine
thats a hell of a nice job. who did your welding? i did my own but it didnt turn out as nice as yours. i finally found a set of long tube headers today so my exhaust will change, hopefully i can just cut off the bends and weld on collector ends so itll all bolt up.
