EatZrib
when i try to disengage the e-brake the driver rear wheel is stuck. now the linkage wont free itself completely but i always resort to pulling the cable from underneath near the rear driver wheel to free it completely. is there any way i can just fix it without buying anything? LanceVance
WD40 and Duct tape, the two most important all encompassing tools at mans disposal. If you don't already have them both just laying around then its about time you go take care of it...
Daemione
Mine was sticking earlier in the winter as well. Some WD-40 & a hammer to knock it back & forth a few times did the trick for me, but if it doesn't work you'll just have to remove the e-brake to disassemble & clean/lube it more thoroughly. EatZrib
Thanks folks. I tried it and knocked it with a hammer and it works fine now
LanceVance
Glad to hear it, I've gone through cans of the stuff during the tear down process on my Z. Absolutely wonderful stuff... Just remember to wipe off the excess, if it gets dirt on it while its still wet it can end up just making things a greasy muddy mess. EatZrib
It's stuck again. Sprayed a whole lot of wd-40 but still won't free itself at all. I tried adjusting the ebrake cable but nothing happened. Seems like the coiled spring isn't strong enough to pull the cable in order to release the ebrake. Idk. Just my guess.
