bigjake34452
ok i pulled apart my l28 out of my 82 NA, and i just have a quick question about the rod caps. they are all in the order i took them out and the numbers on all of them face the same way except number 4, is that right or did i accidentally spin that one around? bigjake34452
should i spin the cap?
HowlerMonkey
the cap and rod should have marks from where the tang on the original bearing was. I match them up if the engine has never been rebuilt before.

z-ya
Is the notch on the top of the piston pointing to the front of the engine?
bigjake34452
z-ya, yes they are all pointing to the front, i just thought it was weird that that one cap faced the opposite way which made me think it got turned around.
