I upgraded to maxi fuses but now there's an issue with the alternator connection. When I hook up the lead from the maxi fuse to the alternator the car won't start. If I remove just that wire, the car starts but doesn't charge from the alternator. Also the dash volt meter stays at 12V when the wire is connected. I know the alternator wiring splits off and goes elsewhere but I cut at the fusible link so that shouldn't be an issue. Any help is appreciated

I was but I don't know which one would be best. I see several LS3 cams for cheap but wonder why they're so inexpensive. Are they now good?

I'm having an aluminum 6.0l engine built at a local al machine shop. I want to put in a stock vette cam but don't know which one to go with. 2 questions. Which would you choose? Why are LS3 cams so cheap?

LS1 Gas Tank Conversion Question
Craig76z replied to Craig76z's topic in Gen III & IV Chevy V8Z Tech Board
Rich, do you have any part numbers for the kit you bought? I'd like to keep the spare tire well in my Z so I think yours is the option that would be best for me. -

I finally have all the major parts to complete the rear end suspension and drivetrain. What I don't have is hardware. I think I have what is needed for the suspension but for mounting the differential I got nothing. Does anyone have a parts diagram showing hardware to mount a long nose R200 in a 78?

Quick question. I have seen a few write ups on the Camaro tank conversion, question is do you have to remove the spare tire well?

Is this a cap or full recover

What part of the country are you in and what would you ask for it?

Hi all, I'm looking for a hood in good shape for my 78 2+2. I'm in the Philadelphia area but don't mind traveling for a good part. Please let me know if you have one or know of one. Thanks in advance.

Got them. Thanks all!

Hi, I'd like to find out if the owner of this blue 2+2 is still active. I have some questions about suspension setup, wheel size and offset that I'd like to ask. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm looking for the bottom mounts that hold the rear control arm to the transverse link with two bolts. The mounts clamp around the bushing.

It's going to be a weekend / track day car. No dragstrip racing, I like corners!

It's almost rear end time with my build. I have a 78 2+2 that will have a 5.3l V8. I would like a stronger differential but don't know which way to go. I've been trying to read up on the Ford 8.8, Q45 and Armada installations but there's so much information and incomplete information that I feel lost. Here's the question. My car will be pushing around 400hp, which rear end would you choose? I'm looking for something that doesn't involve a ton of fabrication or special parts. Thanks all

I'm going through the process of rewiring my 78 2+2 with the ez wiring 21 circuit kit. Two questions, which circuits need relays and which circuits would you add relays? Thanks in advance.

Wheel Show! Post your pics of you wheels

I think the rears are a tad too wide but I still love the style and color. -

This is the one I was looking at http://m.ebay.com/itm/Passenger-Area-Carpet-Cutpile-801-Black-Molded-for-77-78-Datsun-Nissan-280Z-2-2-/310872247259?hash=item48616e0bdb:g:gpEAAOSwHPlWeE-p

I was wondering if anyone of you have bought carpet from 1aauto. They have a kit for around $160 which is a good price but I don't know about the quality.

Well my cap just arrived. I have to admit that I didn't even think about finding out about the thickness before purchasing, I just looked for the cheapest one. So, here's the review. I got what I paid for. It looks good but it's about three times as thick as a child's Halloween mask. The openings for the three center gauges are slightly oval-shaped. I may be able to work that out.

I have a similar thought several months ago about using the raspberry pi option. My thought was to have the apps full screen and having a small joystick in the center console to swipe left or right to select your app and push down to click enter. Similar to what some of the newer cars have today. This way the apps would take advantage of the full face of the gauge.

I was wondering if you guys could give me some information on hard to find parts. I have a 78 and I'm looking for inner fenders, the plastic pieces, but I can't find any anywhere. Is it common to leave them out? Second I need the fender to body weatherstripping. I can only find it for 30 bucks a piece. Does anyone know of a cheaper alternative? Thanks for your help.
