  1. Hey guys - Thanks in advance for any help people give! First things.. 1983 280zx Manual 2+2 GL non USA model (for wiring diagram reasons) The problem I am having is with the "wash" mode on the wiper. 1) Whenever I pull back the Wiper stalk nothing happens. 2) When I disconnect the plug from the washer pump and pull back the wiper stalk, it will activate the wash wiper sequence. (but obviously not spray water onto the window. now the interesting bits. The connector into the washer pump is a 2 pin connector, the 2 wires into the pins are LW (Blue White) and GB (Green Black). Whilst plug is disconnected: 3) When I light test the circuit with a 12v bulb from ground to GB, the light glows Solid. 4) When I light test the circuit with a 12v bulb from ground to LW, the light does NOT glow at all, however, it triggers the wiper sequence on. ?????? 5) When I move the test lamp back to GB after turning on the sequence from LW, the light will turn on and off for the duration of the sequence. Ive been reading through the wiring diagram for hours and hours trying to figure out how the ♥♥♥♥ the system works and ive come up with that: The intermittant wiper amplifier must be changing volts / polarities on certain wires going to and from the wiper motor. I cant seem to get my head around the wiring diagram showing switches INSIDE the wiper motor... how are these switches activated and why are they there? If anyone can help shed some light on this itd be appreciated.. Im sick of using my rear washer motor to spray water onto my windscreen.. (even though its an effective workaround). Cheers. edit - I suddenly have a sneaking suspicion I posted this in the wrong place... O_o
  2. Yeah sure Ill get a few pics up later for y'all.
  3. I have this front skirt and those sides. This is the rear. (the rear skirt has since been chopped and raised to not look like a nappy full of ♥♥♥♥). I bought all 4 pieces for about 1100 AUD - From allzparts in Hornsby, Sydney. Hope this helps! -terry
  4. Have you tried vise-grips on it yet?
  5. Well its a kit that Warren over at allzparts created. Located in Hornsby - NSW (australia). It came rough as hell though - which is about right since theres maybe been 5/6 kits ever made from the mould. Id hook you up with the details but I dunno if you'd wanna pay shipping to the US :<
  6. Josh, if you spend a little time you can reinforce it yourself fairly easily, even if you've never used fibreglass, its a good place to start. Heres the front of my kit which is fully reinforced as well, this thing is so fricken strong itd take a hit up to probably 30 km/h without breaking. (based on experience haha)
  7. the pics Sorry i wish i had better pics for some shots inside the actual skirt :< All phone camera shots.. Hope it helps. Dont make me go look for a digital camera lol.
  8. Chopped strand matt. Ill get some pics up for you later when i get home.
  9. Hmm - With my 280zx rear skirt, i actually chopped half the brackets off and welded a steel angle from one to the other to create a bar, then i used fibreglass to tack the bar to the kit. When that was done i pulled it out, put it upside down and dropped steel angles through it across the inside front, then from that bar welded using more angles to the bar i originally welded that crossed from the original brackets. I then filled with fibreglass and CSM and reinforced the ♥♥♥♥ out of it. It is so freaking solid now itd take a decent hit - and its pretty much the same weight as the original bumper.
  10. HOT! Ive just finished fitting the bodykit to my Z.. (its taken me like 6 months with bits of spare time). It looks strange with the stock wheels so far in. I wanted to find something similar to these in a 17x 7 - for 225/45/17. (yeah.. probably not possible, but trying anyway - i have a specific way I want my Z to look!) I've been looking through alot of sites for wheels and i just cant find anything similar at all.
  11. Hey guys, Wondering if anyone here knows what these wheels are called or know of something similar? I've been hunting around for them for a while and am getting desperate!
  12. Mate did you find out the answer to this question?
  13. From what i've been reading in the past few threads over the forums relating to this front.. Im SURE there would be enough people wanting one to have some made if possible.. I am DEFINITELY down for one. I would like to know how much its going to cost (but that wont make much difference..)
  14. Hi Guys. Ive been searching the forums over the past few days and cant seem to grasp the name of the front of this zx.. Is this the 280zx g-nose ive heard of? Im desperate for one of these babies & would like to know where i can get one! ><
  15. 1983 2+2 280zx over a 3 month period or so my handbrake had slowly been degrading. Why? i have no idea. To cut a long story short, i just got the car back from the mechanic who has told me that itll cost between 500-700 to have it fixed. He said theres a cylinder inside either brake that needs to be machined since the threads are stripped. Can someone explain this to me? im failing to understand how a screw-like device can be rethreaded whilst maintaining its dimension around the circumference of the cylinder? Im looking through the victoria british magazine & manual to find this part, i have no idea what its called though.. (the mech wasnt sure of the correct name either) Advice anyone? -Tez Sydney, Australia
