  1. I want the V-6 because it is quieter and more of a sleeper. Once you get on it you'll here the turbos spool up and realize what your up against. I think it's about 310HP in TT form. It's either that or a quiet 302.
  2. I found some guy selling the TT motor for 2000 and it had under 50K miles on it. The NA motor was 1500 and it also had under 50K miles on it. I'm basically down to a Chevy 350, Ford 5.0 (302 EFI), Ford 4.6L DOHC, or VG30DETT. They all can be very fast, very fun, and/ or very expensive. For the 4.6L or Z32 motor, it will have to come out of a wrecked car that I can get for cheap. Thanks again guys, moridin2004
  3. Have any of you or know of anyone that has done the V6TT swap and how it went? Thanks
  4. Thanks Drax. There is a lot more research that I need to do, but it gets me started. Would you happen to know of any online junkyards that advertise their cars, so I can see if there is something cool. Thanks again, moridin2004
  5. I don't know to much about dry sumps, but I do know that my father bought one from Claud's Buggies for about $125 (it was 25 years ago and it was for a bug) without the cost of the tank and lines included and he gained upwards of 35-45HP. He didn't install a knew oil pan, but did install a knife edge crank. Maybe it was the crank that gave hime the HP, but he doesn't recall it costing near as much as you guys are saying. Thanks again, Ryan
  6. Drax, I was looking around for those BMW motor swap posts, but I couldn't seem to find them. Would you happen to know where they are?
  7. I wanted to know if any of you had any experience with this swap. I know a place where I can get a good deal on a DOHC 3.5L BMW inline 6. I know that the crossmember on the 240Z gets in the way of the oil pan, but couldn't you modify the pan or get a smaller one and go with a dry sump? Thanks in advance.

  9. Have any of you had any experience with dry sumps. I heard quite a bit of horsepower can be gained by this. I would like to know what the costs and parts involved in doing this.
  10. What about a BMW 3.5L. A high-performance runs about 3K. It pulls like a V8 and would rev to 7k, no problem. I think from 85' up they had DOHC which would allow for better tuning. You could easily get a 5 speed out of a junker and it could handle the power. The one problem is the oil pan. Get's in the way of the front crossmember. A little reworking and it would be awesome. Just a thought, otherwise go with the 302. That's a great motor too.
  11. How is the TEC II working. Do any of you know what kind of power gains you got from it?

  13. Someone on another forum suggested using a dry sump. Would it work and how much would that run?
  14. I was wondering if any of you had any experience with a BMW engine swap. Thanks
