that is one nice interior, you spent alot of time on the dash alone!

Hey yall, Im using RAAM mat (RAAM audio) the owner LOVES z cars, cut a hell of a good deal for being a new Z owner. i's pretty close to dynamat, id recommend following his instructions. It cut down the cabin substantially in my belly dumped 383 chevy.
-
wow that's an interesting set up. cool!
-
can you link us to that strut towre bar also? or is that a homebrew?
-
woah. give us the skinny on that fuel cell and battery materials wher purchased etc and cost thanks! i totally would love that on mine. Also it' looks incredible!
-
i love it/ it's beautiful!
-
hey brother long time no see! this car's still amazing! good to see you working on it, and dotn feel bad ive had my 67 jeep in storage since i was 16 trying to find time to work on it.. im 27 now..

the NHRA ruling is that if a fuel line goed through the driver compartment it need to be in a channel, so if you place a aluminum or steel "sealed" channel in there it will be your firewall, also the ruling is with a fuel cell in the cabin you need a firewall between those strut towers. In case of fire or explosion this gains you a few extra seconds to stay alive. we just had this issue with my rail dragster, we relocated the fuel cell in front of my feet and brake master cyl, but there is absolutely NO space for lines underneath. So the solution was to run the lines and use pop rivets and sealant on a "u channel" to protect me incase of impact. even with it that way some racers refuse to get near my car, due to personal prefferance and fear of incident. But many top fuelers have run forward of driver cells, with in cabin lines, crashed said car and been fine. Good luck! and BEAUTIFUL BUILD

dude, if you keep those seats that same color that would look incredible, all black seats would distract you from the rest of the interior. gonna look hot man!
-
AHH! now i get it! sorry i assumed a different build idea then you had stated. either way it's sexy!
-
wow... ok.... so no carpet anything? it's like 30lbs for interior stuff.... I personally wouldnt notice the difference with an LT1 in there, rhinolined my chevy (about 50 =60 lbs of stuff and dont notice it at all.. also yrou spare tire area is immaculate!
-
what are you doing for interior liner? Im a big fan of RAAM mat. alot cheaper then dynamt and the guy LOVES these Zcars..
-
if you are going to HAMMER use a cut wood block it will spread the impact area and allow for a smoother finish...
-
opps.. im tired and misread the posting... disregard
-
SO.. was there any issues with the 700r4 install that the JTR book diddnt annotate? Also, how did you do that dash repair? Btw, sexy ass shiny motor! definatley an eye catcher.
-
I think the sivler por-15 will be kinda cool, make your interior look all "alloyed out"
-
THANKS! Much appreciated brother.
-
thanks for the reply dude. The entire install was JTR then? I could not see it with the pictures but are you keeping the stock steering? IT nice to see a build so fresh, I'll probably be taking pointers from you as i do mine, im at the stages of metal prep and interior cleaning. It will be a bit due to crap weather.

These are some seriously sexy cars here. Thanks for all the pictures!

hey all, Well this was posted on another forum so I thought i would be cool to link yall to it. Go about halfway down and youll see what im talking about. Gonna do this before i don some other metal prep to see how well it works for me. Good luck! http://www.348-409.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19494&page=5

That is one sexy beast! I am also POR-15ing my car did you use all their metal prep? How did you feel with the spraying VS brushing technique? How much did you use? Did you reduce it at all for the spraying? I am POR-15ing my interior as well to stop any rust that's forming there, my PO left bad door seals on her so now she needs some serious loving inside, but luckily no floor pan replacement. What headers are you going to run to clear your steering linkage? Thanks for any replies you give dude.

A untouched 454 can sell for 1000 easily if someone really wants it, If you visit another forum there's alot of good advice and experience. If you offer your truck up for sale it will probably go pretty fast. Also, a 454 can get descent gas mileage depending on how you drive it, tune the carb for economy instead of performance and spend less time in your powerband. A big block chevy takes less throttle to move that 5200 pound truck then a SBC will. But If you really want to get rid of your truck that bad, dont trade it for a celica, sell it outright, take the cash, buy the car you want with some extra denero for incidentals. But that's just my opnion.
