idk why i keep putting rod.. i meant vent valve.. but it turns out somehow my head got a bolt in it that was sucked thru and got stuck between the valve and the outter wall of the cylinder head. We could of took it to a machine shop and got it repaired but we figured a rebuilt head would be the better option. I have already purchased a rebuilt head with a new cam for $340. so overall it wasent bad and could of been a lot worse if i woulda kept driving it or if the bolt would of went down in to the block. Luckily no piston damage.

alright sounds good.. i already have a header and went and ordered the gaskets tonight...cant wait to have my z back running again

I have a 78 280z 2+2. I just bought a brand new head for it because the old one had a bolt stuck in between one of the valves. While we have it all apart we thought it would be a good idea to put a header on it. Is this a good idea? Will it help performance and fuel millage? Or should i stay with the stock manifold, which had a small leak in it.
