My z will be coming home from getting fresh paint next week, and am looking for some sort of custom made grill or a fair lady grill to help finish it off. I really am not expecting to get a fair lady one for a good price, so if you have a neat custom one you have made please pm me. Thanks

I always wanted a Mustang as a kid.. I searched and searched for a 65-73 Mustang, but obviously living in Ohio, and only being 8 years old I couldn't find any that were in the budget or worth fixing. My dad was the one who got me into them. His first car was a z, and he told me how great of a car they were, and it went from there. I bought my z when i was 8 years old and have been restoring it sense. I am now 20. I have gotten my dad back in to z's as well, he now owns one that I found for him and talked him into buying. I have also parted out 2 on my own just last summer. At one point last year we had 4 z's. I guess were just a Z family. Long story short, I love my z, and glad it is my first car over a Mustang. I wouldn't change a thing!

I am in a very similar situation. I'm a full time college student and am currently restoring my z. Have had it sense i was 8, and am now 20. Going to be painting it this summer. It doesn't look like too bad of a buy, but you need to really look into the rust issues. Its a pain. Mine needed work on both quarters and under the doors. Luckily i had a family friend that was good at welding. Sometimes i think about if i would of waited and bought a nice z already fixed up. But believe me, its fun to work on them, and its cool seeing the look on peoples faces when you drive up in a car they've never seen before. My advice would be to look into the rust, and if you can post some more pictures, mainly of the rusty areas. A lot of great info on here that will help you out. Good luck and keep us updated.

Looking for a rear louver for a 78 280z 2+2. Would love one that mounts on the trim around the glass, but will take one that needs to be drilled into the hatch as well. Bought one off of a 260 2+2 and it didnt fit at all. Would be willing to trade for one. Have many parts from a 72 240 and a 76 2+2 i parted out over the summer. Thanks

Do you have a cd player in your z? Mine used to run fine and never had a problem with the battery dying. We installed a nice cd player, and now i let it sit for like 3 days and the battery is dead. I already killed two duralast batteries. Good thing they were under warrenty so i just keep going back and getting new ones for free :)Were going to add a cut off switch to the battery soon.

I bent the small throttle link off of my 240 engine today while pulling it. Its got duel weber 32/36 dcv-5a carbs on it. Here is a picture of the bent one, as well as the good one still on the motor. I only need the little rod, dont even need the ends if you dont have them. Thanks

After doing research the 2+2 is in fact different than the 280z in the hatch. So strictly looking for a 280z 2+2 louver. Thanks

Weight isnt really a problem for me. Im just looking for the easiest, cheapest way to make these parts stronger.

Finally got my car ready to get the body kit install, but before i send it to the guy whose installing it i wanted to know what i can do to the kit to make the peices stronger. Its an msa type two kit. Ive hear that adding a metal strip on the inside of the air dam and molding it in helps? Any ideas are appreciated.
