  1. my bad i see u wrote front panel work not front end, by the by where and how much did u get the trans 4?ive tried to e mail the rodshop several times and still no responce for those motor mounts.
  2. i got my swap with the auto trans, let me know how the motor mounts fit into the bay when u drop the motor in. the mods ur doing to the front end are they for the intercooler?
  3. well i saw a couple of twin set ups and damm they look good, but im into function60%looks40% on choices for the motor so ill stick with one t set up, thanks for ur input im hoping to have this done by the end of the summer.
  4. o.k after looking around in the few places that i could, i cant seen to find a rb26 head to put on the rb25 block so that i could have twin t's on it. so now my question is can i put the twins on the rb 25 head, are the 26 and 25 manifolds interchangeable like on the 240z's ?and would it make any sense and more power to do this other than that it would look hella good!!
  5. i say roll with the tripples, still i agree with the members that stated it depends on ur set up , but tested or not tested how can two single throat su's compare to 3 double throat makuni's (webbers being garbage). a 4 barrel holley,on a z come on really ?
  6. yes the mounts on the swap for zx into a z arent so difficult, but what are ur goals with the car? even the l28turbo will cost u some $$ the 350 is cool but that costs, so why not go with an rb motor. many guys here have alot of info and parts are all over ebay and other forums in the stock form u get 250 horses w/no mods on such a light car just a suggestion,,,plus ur local so thats more guys to the rb party
  7. if u have the diff of the 300 use the axles of the 300 go to: modernmotorsports ,and buy the adaptor you'll have a pretty stout rear and assembly. good luck
  8. if ur ok with ur current brake set up and dont need to upgrade then, i suggest u check ezaccessory.com they have adaptors to turn ur old 240z pattern into a current set up for more wheel options. they are cheap in price but very well built, fast shipping too, good luck
  9. will the twins do any damage to the block?if not is there anyone out there that has a rb26 head for sale or trade? or knowledge of where i ca get one
  10. is the rb26dett head better than the rb25det? if it is can i swap heads and put two turbos on the rb25 block?
  11. zhadman, keep me in touch when u get to L.B i have a feeling im going to need ur help to finish my install,,,,,,.to taylor thanks i'll most likely get the 8 point cage
  12. yes i did, the shop i got it from does alot of high end turbo work, but right now im in the beguining stage of my new monster. someone stated i will need a cage that will go form motor to rear, and the funds are low so im buying for the motor while the car gets the work it needs . if you know of someone who does this kind of work that info would be very helpful
  13. how much and are they the ones that put the engine far back and low
  14. i got my rb25det bone dry, its going into my '71 240z. i'm planing on upgrading all of the accessories, can u guys help me find parts that will take the motor to about 400-450 hp. i need the following things:turbo, manifolds, air flo meter, intercooler and all the piping, exhaust, tranny and support members, wiring harness, pretty much everything one would need for the swap and performance. i also read in this forum that the motor will create so much torque that i should get a cage fitted to the car is this acurate. the floor and rails on my car seem pretty straight right now.
  15. if your only goal is to upgrade brakes that will work, but the main reason i used the z31 hubs with the forerunner calipers was to update the wheels also,no body is making any good rims for the 240.i got the spacer, between hub and rotor, from ross @modern motorsprts.com. for the rear i got spacers/adapters from ezaccessory.com for 129.00 saving the dismanteling of the stock hub. the rotors are from the z31 all around and in the rear i used the 240zx calipers with the bracket from ross to keep the e brake.
  16. thanks , i sent them a request for the part, i'll check with you as i get the rest of my items for the swap once again thanks for the intell
  17. are putting a rb30 into a 240z, if so where did you order the motor mounts from ,and can they be used for any rb motor, im thinking of doing a similar swap on my '71
