Ok im in chicago and im picking up a VK from indiana, about a 300 mile drive. Is there a truck company like u-haul or something that offers a engine cratle or something similar ? or if anyone ever transported a engine, how did you do it ?

snap on welders are crap. Get a miller or lincoln.

wow a newbie telling a OG to search. personally, i dont think you will save alot of weight, hell maybe 5-10 pounds at most. You probably know they scratch very very easily though.

^ the engine alone, is around 2-3.2K. Long block. Use car-parts.com. I believe Axe Power ? is making something for the VH45 but nothing for the VK just yeat.
