I have been looking for front fenders for my Z for the past few months without luck. I was wondering if you guys could help me. I live in Central IL and I am looking for front fenders for a datsun 260z. I have looked all over the internet, checked Zbarn with no reply, checked the listings here only to find that its a local pickup 500+ mi away... I would really appreciate some direction Thanks

Alright guys, I posted earlier asking for auto rotisserie plans. I looked at them, but they weren't exactly what I was looking for. I found one that I had at one time, but forgot the link. These plans look really good to me, so I think this is what I will be using. I have been searching the internet for Rotisserie Plans all day and have not found anything. Does anyone have any good links for quality Rotisserie plans?

I am in central illinois, and I have never seen a Z other than mine... Hard to find, very hard to find

I was just going to post asking about that... I do have a question for that site though, What are prices of front fenders? I need an estimate so I can make sure I have enough when time comes to replace current fenders.

I need some replacement front fenders for my 260z and I was wondering where is a good place to purchase them from? I have no experience with this so I would like some guidance in picking a place to order them. Give me your experience from the store please.

LOL Well, I recently got a 260z stock, fairly good condition for a 35 year-old vehicle. Some rust throughs and have been looking for a body-shop, or an enthusiast that would do a good job for a reasonable price. I would do it my-self, but being a high-schooler makes purchasing the welder and other tools kind of expensive. I am not sure what are good places to buy Z parts in Central IL, so if you have any experience with shops around here and would like to share it, that would be very helpful. By the way, have any pics of your Z?

Well, I might have found an engine on craigslist, http://chicago.craigslist.org/pts/79418724.html I'll probably email him next week when I get my paycheck, it really sucks getting $7 an hour... I also found this... http://chicago.craigslist.org/pts/80604292.html being fairly new to cars, and knowing almost nothing would a tranny like that be able to support a small block? Does that seem like a good deal?

I am a highschool student so i cannot afford new, expensive engines. and am interested in swapping a small block chevy engine into my z-car. I live in Central IL and am looking for a place to buy a fairly reasonable priced small block or an ls1 engine. Would anyone know where I could obtain one for a good price? Thanks

what type of rear end would you need to handle the power of the 500 cad engine? Anything special?

took off the alternator, and the car starts and runs. Does this mean something is wrong with the alternator in itself, or is something wrong with wiring leading to alternator... Where would be the most likely area of the short? ignore ^ ------------------------ Edit: I'll go have it tested. The man I bought the car from said that it was brand new and that he was just putting it on the day before we bought the vehicle. It isn't new but remanufactured, could it just be that it is the wrong alternator?

Alright, here is my problem... I start the car and it turns over and engines starts going... after a millisecond of running, everything stops. I found out that it was the alternator. Because, after I pulled the wires from the alternator the car started to run... WTFunk What am I doing wrong that that car doesn't start when the alternator is plugged in?

This may not be in the right forum, but I was wondering what is the maximum horsepower that has been obtained with a l26. It would be great if you posted what modifications have been done to achieve that power. Thanks

well, I am planning on painting the car soon and I don't want to leave any of the original copper or (the paint that the previous owner painted) green left on it, so would sanding the entire car be something that could be done? I need a good way of removing rust and paint. Thats why sandblasting seemed fairly logical to me
