here is mine before i started to take it down: 1975 from colorado just happen to be driving by it when it was on the side of the road not working. bought it, fixed a couple of things, drove it for a little bit and decided i had to go faster!

from my understanding to do this i need to use a 2mm head gasket
-
ok can some one tell me then if it will be ok with the piston .63mm above the deck height? Thanks, Andrew
-
thanks for the info, so you are saying stay with stock size on the intake, maybe the +1mm on the exhaust. But really i should have the head P&P before i worry about larger valves? ~Andrew

hi guys, just need someone to look this over and let me know how i did. I got a lot of this from searching so no search natzis please So i would like to build a 3.0 turbo, i have lots of stuff in my garage, complete 75 motor with 4 speed manual and a complete 83 turbo with p90 head and 5 speed manual, yes it is a B&W which sucks i know. and a stroker crank with l24 9mm rods and ka24 pistons. and what i have found is that i should build like this: n42 block with a 1mm over bore, plus the vo7 crank, 240 rods, and now the pistons this is where i think my math is off. i want a 87mm piston, duh.. with a 33mm pin hieght and a flat top this should give me around 8.1 cr @ 2960cc but do you realy want a flat top piston in a turbo? i thought you wanted a dished piston in a turbo? if so then i would want a 34mm pin height with a 6cc dish giving me a 8.2 cr, but it would give me a positive deck height of .63mm and this is bad right? basicaly what i am doing with this car is i would like to have it a daily driver when its nice in the summer, but also i would like to take it to the track and start getting into some bracket racing, I would luv to be into the 12's but with bracket racing as long as you are consistent you can do well. And then maybe get into some local autocross events. Oh and one other thing.... cams? this there is a lot of info on.... i was thinking a crane stage two? Please let me know what you guys think. thanks, ~andrew

Hi all, i just have a simple question about these valves. I see on there website that they make a 1mm oversize valves for the turbo motor. has anyone tried these yet? and do you think it would be worth the money? http://www.ferrea.com/sportcomp05.html thanks all ~Andrew

Whats up with the back two cylinders and my L28?
fear_me replied to bubbleguinea's topic in Nissan L6 Forum
with #5 and #6 being the furthest cylinder from the waterpump and cool fresh antifreeze..... what about using an electric water pump to solve this problem? that way the antifreeze is always moving at a constant presure not like driven off of a pully were the flow will slow down in the lower rpms. ~Andrew -

my question has kind of gone astray here.... you just said that you painted your own car: 1) did you go to metal? 2) what metal prep did you use? (por15, rustbullet....) 3) what primer? bran how many layers? 3) paint, brand? layers? base/clear kote? That is what i am looking for, i like the do's and don'ts i will keep those in the back of my head.... but i think this thread is going no wear cause i maybe did not ask the right questions. above is what i am interested in. thanks for your guy's replies! ~Andrew

hello, i have been lurking this forum for a long time now. i am starting to do body work on my car and i am planning on painting it myself. i have searched here and read many suggestions on how to paint, i have checked out www.autobody101.com, they have some decent articles. i have looked at books and bought some from barnes and nobles. and i under stand the basics, 1)bare metal, 1 step or 2 step metal prep, primer, bondo, paint. or only go down to metal if needed. But what i realy did not find is for the guys that painted their own cars, how and what did you use?? did you bring the whole car down to bare metal? did you use por15, picklex, rustbullet... what brand primer and paint? I have seen lots of pictures of great looking cars and i am looking for how you got to that! plus for anyone else looking to paint this will help them at the same time. Thanks in advanced. ~Andrew

lol, i always thought it would be funny to put two air horns inside the car, so when the alarm goes of the robber would be deaf! ~Andrew

Hello all! I am trying to find a way to relocate my fron turnsignals and i thought why not just attach a 240 front air dam and get 240 turn signals! So my question is i know that there are front end differences between the two cars, but can i take and put a 240 body kit on a 280?? Thanks, Andrew

I have sent you a pm! ~Andrew

Nice car! do you have any specs on how your motor is built up, and what type of hp you are looking to get? ~Andrew
-
how about these guys: http://www.sunrisejapanese.com/home.html??? ~Andrew

That is just the motor.... that seems like a good price from what i have been reading... correct? I found a importer in canada that can do it for that price. ~Andrew
-
just like the title states! I have been doing lots or research.... and i know that there was an oil problem with r32's but it was fixed in the r33 version. What are some other differences between the two?? they are at the same hp right?? I am trying to figure out if it is worth the exrta money to get a r34 motor over a r33 motor... i can get a r33 for 2,500 I was planning on using the stock ecu.... but reading that it is set up for 100 octane, i might have to go stand alone, which is not a problem either. But just wondering what the differences are. Thanks, Andrew
-
I agree! wouldn't the front of the car be turned the other way??? why would they fall out of the car before the tree that cut the car in half?? keys?? why is the engine out without spilling a drop of oil?? car hit the tree but no bark on car? (#13&17) and what type of engine would it have? i see a turbo on the pasnger side, but and exhaust on the drivers side?? were is the hood? bumper? many many questions but no answers.......
-
ok, so why would one want the r-34 over the r-33?? I know that the oil pump problem i have been reading about has been fixed on the 33, so the only difference would be that is has about 30 more hp?? and this seems like it would be because of a different ecu. correct?? Thanks, Andrew
