  1. I never had the opportunity to purchase parts from him for my Zeto... But I would like to send my condolences to his family, friends, and supporters...
  2. in regards to the last posted ignition arrangement with the eps and gm coils... is there a write up here that i could follow?
  3. Ok, so I've recently acquired my dream car since the 7th grade... A 72' S30 and would like to place in my KA24DE-T. I've been considering the substitution of my current KA/SR trans. for the stouter Z32 trans. I already have a Z32 R200 diff as well and would like to be able to utilize both components in my motor/trans swap... My most important question i believe would be, what size of driveshaft would be required? Has anyone one else performed this swap i.e. Z32 trans and diff swap? I've been searching around for sometime now to no avail and so I've decided to simply post up and ask for help... Thank you in advance, for any and all the help you can give me. Here's a picture of a built KA with Z32 trans attached...
  4. Its a g nose, alot of difernt companies make these conversions still.
  5. What about a wide set for the front as well?
  6. A company in Japan called Garage Nakayama or something like that, built an AWD S30 for drag competitions in Japan, last year. Using the RB26 motor and drivetrain with custom mounts for the motor, trans, suspension, and a custom rear subframe. It was in an issueof Option Magazine that I was reading.
  7. Are'nt the belts supposed to be bolted down? Something like the knots create weak points in the harness, heightening the chance of you rocketing out through your windshield? Or at least submarining into your footwells to closely inspect your pedals while you're crahing into something. Could be wrong...
  8. Thank you everyone for your help. I've finally decided to go with RS Watanabe Japan. I'm thinking of 16x9 -13 front and 16x9.5/10 -19 rear. I'll have to make sure first. I found a popular rim company in Japan that will do custom size and offset, but it costs a fortune of course Well thank you again everyone. Aloha.
  9. I've come to the conclusion that 16in. possibly 17in. will be the way to go. In saying that. Can I use a 16x8 +15 offset for the front with ZG flares and a 16x9 +0 offset for the rear? If so, I'll be ordering some rims before I even fly back to Japan! Thank you for your answers in advance, Aloha.
  10. Hmmm. Cobra rims, you say. I'll take a peak. Thank you for all the replies, everyone, especially to you, JohnC. You are very knowledgable and I thank you for sharing that knowledge with me and everyone reading this post, thank you again. Aloha.
  11. Wow! That was easy. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.
  12. Is anyone using any of the above mentioned diffs' from any of these cars? Was there any serious mods needed? I am a newbie in regards to the Z, but am not afraid to DIY, depending on difficulty. Unfortunately I'm not a mechanic, welder, of engineer, but I don't mind getting dirty. LOL Thank you for any information recieved, Aloha.
  13. Bummer... I'm really trying to go 17in. possibly 18in. in the rear. It seems very hard to find lightweight rims in even +0 offset. Can anyone reccomend some rim chioces that can achieve my goal? Looking to maximize both front and rear wheel width, using ZG flares and coilover suspension. Using 17in. wheels. Thank you everyone that has responded so far. The sharing of knowledge has been most appreciated.
  14. Hmmm. What if I use ZG fender flares with complete coilover suspension to fit a 10.5 in. wide rim with +15 offset, what about +12? I'm willing to change to a 9.5 in. wide rear rim. Will a +12 offset with the above mentioned mods allow for this? Thank you everyone for responding. The rims I'm looking at are not available in America, so no test fitting I'm flying back to Japan in January and would like to purchase these rims with confidence they will fit.
  15. Wow! That's alot of sources I need to check. Thank you everyone for your input. The reason why I put on every brace I could find was due to the extreme shifting of the chassis from high speed drifting i.e. in excess of 160kmh. My last 240 fastback actually had 3 tears in the firewall, and my chassis was tweaked in 5 directions front to back. I never crashed it and later sold it to a kid who absolutly destroyed. What a sad fate for that car. In my only 5 years of drifting I managed to warp the frame of a car origially owned by a librarian in 8 months. I don't want it to happen to an over 30 year old car. Well. Thanks again everyone for the links. I've got some searcing to do.
