  1. well why do people prefeer the turbo dist ? seems like evern people wil n/a l28s use the turbo dist. thanks let me know man!
  2. can i wire up megasquirt to work with my nissan dizzy ? do i need to use the 280zxt distributor ? well please let me know .. i been looking for a zxt dist incase but i would rather not mess with it.
  3. was pretty simple installing .. bored out my manifold .. was going to run a 65mm tb from bmw but i ported to much and went through the side of l-series manifold .. so i welded and reported but ended up running the ka 60mm. the extra linkage on end of tb shaft for the cruis controll i took off .. used a 8 x 1.0 die and threaded the rest of the tb shaft and threded the nut tight. then i cut off the remander part of threads on shaft so it will clear intake runners without a tb spacer. i also had to cut the tb spring shaft short also. then i partially cut part of th throttle cable guide on linkage of tb. and grinded slightly on my l-manifold to get it to go full throttle wide open while bolted up. other than that is bolts right up .. same spacing on bolts. i also took off the water inlet and outlet built into the tb to clean it up .. looked kinda busy. so anyone trying to do the swap it should be pretty simple.. i will post some pics ina few days! MEGASQUIRT WILL SOON BE POWERING MY 3.2 LD28 block / crank. if that dont work out good .. i will put my 45mm sk racing sidedraft setup on.
  4. i have a 240sx gas tank .. verry similar to my 240z tank .. anyways it wouldnt fit exactly so i took a sledge hammer to the right side my my spare tire compartment to get it to fit up there nice how i wanted . then i said frick it and cut out the compartment so now i have to mount it a lil bit differently .. i like the fast the fuel pump is built in and you can upgrade to say a walbro or whatever! .. i will get picks soon!
  5. oh i see .. yeh well i mean when you take jout springs it drops it a whole lot .. 16x7 wheels .. i have about 3 inches from bottom of engine xmember to ground cleaance .. the tops of the struts are so asmall on 240zs can you actually get a bolt on camber adjustment plate or you have to cut and weld ?
  6. how can i keep my 240z as low as it is in the pics .. well its on jack stands also but i mean i have it under the rear control arm. i also noticed that the front no matter how low i put it it wouldnt get any camber .. if anything slight positive camber .. i took out the springs to see how low it would sit with just shocks lol .. of course bottom'd out. anyways by cutting my strut welding and using shorter shock insert and using coil overs can i acheive this same ride height ?

  8. sr20det redtop with gt2871r turbo with 740cc injectors, enthalpy computer tune and 19 psi boost. 352 to wheels .. if i get my greddy intake installed and hks step 2 cams i should dyno 400 to 410 to wheels just liek everyone with the same engine setup at 21 psi. car weight 1670 with full tank of gas. with me 1870. halls ***. i have a 240z also with a 3.2 diesel block crank. i wana a external radiator on my z lol but i built that 3.2 with 10:1 so hard to keep it on the crappy track at mt shasta.

  10. on some applications a thinner radiator i have noticed cools better .. just one of those things. seems like people have luck with them .. my buddy just picked up one for his v8 swap! good luck
  11. right now i just have a lightened on to about 13 lbs .. it works nice .. snaps up in rpm and snaps right back down. i have a 9lb fidanza that i was going to put on but i remembered my friend took a few of the bolts that held the outer teeth on i have to find some. i dont know any cons about it besides it wont hold your speed on freeway .. when you let of gas your car deacells quick
  12. well im guessing i wrote to much or mixed everyone up . i will probably go carburated but i would love to use my manifold and bigger tb injectors and megasquirt. well see i wanted to see what is the power differences from highly moded efi system vs 45 weber or some kinda comparision .. if were talking 20 30 hp i can see some issues but whatever. if anyone has some info please let me know!   13. i have a 3.2 diesel maxima block and crank. ported head, cam big valves 6 inch rods. blah blah blah. anyways i have a 1.5 on intake ports and i port matched a fuel injection manifold for it and was originally going to put it in my maxima and i coundn't quite get the fuel injection to work right. im running turbo zx injectors .. my question is .. i want to put a z31 ecu, and maf on my setup. but everyone who has done it on the internet have 280zx and the harness on those is setup similar to the z31 computer. mines 84 maxima harness computer crap. anyone ave sugestions ? i was going to go with megasquirt.. but im not sure. i also have a 65mm mw tb on it. also how would i even wire in a maxima or 280zx harness .. how do i find what wire on ecu will power, ground, and switched power and start power etc. thanks sorry for so many requests .. im just excited on running this motor again .. but now in a 240z.
  14. ok i have a diesel maxima block and crank bored and stroked with gas head. cam ported head big valves, springs, knifedge crank long rods.. everything basically. i have a tripple carb manifold but i ported out my injection manifold and adapted a 65mm tb on it and put 280zxt injectors and a fuel presure regulator. well i wana run a new computer system . i had this setup in a 84 maxima and got tired of it not running right with that shitty flap maf. i wana wire in a z31 harness and maf. anyone know how hard that would be ? or would i need to put in a 280zxt harness first ? please help car is all ready to go.. harness is last thing!
